Cleaning your Tub With Dawn!

This concoction is awesome! It's really scum busting and leaves your tub looking squeaky clean!

Here's what you need:
  • a 24oz spray bottle
  • 12 ounces of Dawn dishwashing liquid
  • 12 ounces of white vinegar

Heat the vinegar in microwave until hot and pour into squirt bottle. Then add the Dawn soap. Put the lid on and gently shake to mix. Let it sit for about an hour and then rinse away.

Best tub cleaner i've used yet!

Make your own Light Switch Covers!!!

Working on Connor's new Peter Pan room I came across an idea on Pinterest I thought was really neat AND is cheap! I was looking for a Peter Pan light switch cover and wasn't having much luck.

The pin I saw had my solution! All I needed to do was find a graphic I liked on the internet. Once I found my Peter Pan graphic, I saved it to my computer and opened it up in a picture program. Mine is so old, but I use Microsoft Picture It! The reason I used that is so I could print it out a certain size.

I printed mine out as Height= 4.81in and Width= 3.00in.

After cutting it out, I fitted it over the light cover and taped the top and bottom down where I wanted it. Taking a sharp knife or razor, cut out the rectangle where your switch goes. Use the screws to poke holes where they are going to go in.

Next untape one side and brush a coat of Modge Podge on to the cover. (Make sure it's not too thick of a coat or your paper will bubble. If it does, use the back of your brush to smooth the bubbles out. Or you can use your hand to smooth it out if it's a big bubble.) Press the paper down on the cover and smooth out. Remove all the tape. Brush a thin coat of Modge Podge on the sides of the cover and fold the rest of the paper down covering the sides.

Use a thin coat of Modge Podge over the paper on the cover. Let dry. Place back over the switch and screw the screws in.

I think this would be cute anywhere in the house! Maybe use scrapbook paper on the covers. You could also do this for plug in covers!!

Here's Connor's: (ignore the paint that's been chipped. that was from a previous cover. We have to touch it up.)

Simple cute bookmark!

I LOVED this idea when I saw it! It was so simple and easy and I already had the stuff at my house to do it! You can go as fancy or simple as you want! Spruce them up, give them as a gift! The options are endless. All you need is a big paper clip and a button.

Glue the button to the top of the paper clip, let it dry...
and you got a bookmark!

So cute!
